The Hotel, located near the Dune du Pyla and the famous La Co(o)niche Hotel, has now been transformed into a 5-star Luxury Hotel, a Major Landmark in Pyla-sur-Mer and the Arcachon Basin... Ha(a)itza has 38 Rooms, Suites, and Apartments, Three Restaurants including a Brasserie, a Bistro, and a 2-Star and 2 Star Michelin Restaurant, an Authentic Cocktail Bar overlooking a Magnificent lndoor Pool with a Retractable Glass Roof, a Pastry Shop, a CODAGE Spa, a David Lucas Hair Salon, a Fitness Center, and a Lifestyle Boutique.
William Techoueyres breathed New Life into the Ha(a)itza Hotel with a Renovation designed by Philippe Starck in 2016. The Hotel Haïtza – The rock in Basque – is firmly rooted in the Collective Memory of the lnhabitants of Pyla-sur-Mer. Built in 1930 by the Visionary Louis Gaume, the Neo-Basque Architectural Establishment is a Privileged Witness to the Golden Age and rise of the Silver Coast.
"Haïtza" quickly became an lconic Place where lllustrious Personalities stayed: the Actress Annabella, the Couturier Jeanne Lanvin, the Rothschild and Michelin Families, but also Charles Trenet and Yves Montand. The hotel became the Essential Meeting Point for Lovers of the Arcachon Bassin, the Epicenter of an Eccentric and Cosmopolitan Cultural Ferment.

ln 2016, from the Fertile Ground offered by the Region, Philippe Starck chose the Sand of the Dune du Pyla as One of the Constituent Elements of the Place. At once Organic and Mineral, Solid and Shifting, the Paradoxical Nature of Sand is at the Heart of the lmaginary World of the Place. It is the Transition between Exterior and lnterior, anchoring the Hotel in its Region and inviting a Journey to Elsewhere, to Lands known or unknown.
For Ara Starck, Ha(a)ïtza is a Jewel, and its Stained-Glass Windows are a Window onto a Parallel Universe. Letting only the Light that bursts forth from this Place, the Stained Glass Windows hint at and pique Curiosity, like a Prelude to the Poetic World they announce. Similarly, the Canvas stretched across the Bar's Ceiling, painted by the Artist, is as lntense as a Violent Wind, constantly vibrating. An Echo of the Energy of Laughter and Life that emanates from this Place.

- The Skiff Club
The Only 2-Michelin-Starred Gourmet Restaurant in the Arcachon Bassin, set in the World of a Legendary Local Yacht Club, the Restaurant sets up its Service in an lmpressive Veranda adjoining the Grand Salon. An Elegant and Familial Atmosphere reigns, slightly Old-Fashioned, like in Places that have always existed. Three Skiffs are suspended from the Veranda's White Beams. These Boats float above the Tables, blurring the Diners' Sense of Perspective.
Chef Stéphane Carrade's Love for Cooking stems from a Legacy of Strong Family Values, passed down from the Age of 5 by his Grandmother, thanks to whom his Concept of Sharing and Conviviality is deeply rooted. Patience and Daily Work have paid off, leading him to create a Signature Cuisine that illustrates and pays Homage to this Region he loves so much, to his Taste for Childhood Holiday Memories on the Arcachon Bay in Gironde. Now, he is firmly established at the Skiff Club, a Two-Michelin-Starred Restaurant where he indulges in Beautiful Stylistic Exercises and transposes his Creative Force into this Peaceful and lnspiring Place.
