HALIFAX Welcomes SailGP Participants

USPA NEWS - Get ready for a thrilling weekend as over 1,000 athletes, team members, and families converge on the Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts for an unforgettable sailing competition from Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21, made possible through a dynamic partnership between the municipality, the Province of Nova Scotia, and Sail Nova Scotia.

During this period, downtown area motorists should prepare for heightened traffic congestion and plan their commutes accordingly. The public is encouraged to take advantage of free competition viewing along the Halifax waterfront. Paid viewing opportunities are also available through various vendors. Halifax Transit’s Alderney and Woodside ferry service will experience daily disruptions from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. during the competition.
